01 · What is SokoAI?
SokoAI is a technology platform of Quest Technologies Ltd, created around a simple idea: meaningful connection can open access to people, knowledge, technology, opportunity and practical ways to make a difference.
The platform grew from the experience of its founder, Louis Gichuru Mburu, an ICT Engineer with more than 25 years of experience. Through his work in technology and infrastructure, he observed a persistent disconnect between communities and access to emerging technologies, practical knowledge and the opportunities that technology can create.
That experience helped shape the idea behind SokoAI — a platform created to connect people, technology, opportunity and compassion across Africa.
SokoAI brings together two connected dimensions.
Commerce & Commercial Intelligence — helping people and organisations discover products, suppliers, services, opportunities, markets and technology through an AI-enabled marketplace and digital ecosystem.
People, Technology, Opportunity & Community — creating pathways through which people can contribute, learn, volunteer, access technology, build capability and participate meaningfully in African communities.
Within this second dimension is Volunteer Africa by SokoAI, connecting people from different parts of the world with responsible opportunities to contribute, learn, volunteer and engage meaningfully with communities across Africa.
