Building Partnerships
The programme pathway exists, but SokoAI is still identifying, assessing or onboarding suitable host organisations. We do not present unconfirmed capacity as an available placement.

SokoAI HomeSokoAI Safety & Trust Standard
No placement should require blind trust.
Volunteer Africa by SokoAI distinguishes programme discovery from confirmed placement availability, assesses suitability, verifies opportunities progressively and makes important responsibilities and costs clear before participants commit.
Evidence before commitment
A programme page proves that a pathway exists. It does not automatically prove that a particular host, place, date or capacity is available. SokoAI keeps those things separate so that applicants can distinguish discovery from confirmed opportunity.
We would rather tell you that a partnership is still being built than create the impression that an unconfirmed placement is ready to book.
The programme pathway exists, but SokoAI is still identifying, assessing or onboarding suitable host organisations. We do not present unconfirmed capacity as an available placement.
You may submit your requirements for assessment and matching while suitable host capacity is identified or confirmed. Submission is not a placement guarantee.
Reserved for a specific opportunity that has passed the applicable SokoAI Safety & Trust controls and has current host-confirmed placement capacity.
The minimum standard
These are operating gates, not decorative claims. The exact evidence required varies by programme risk, but a placement cannot bypass a mandatory control simply because other checks have passed.
The institution must be identifiable and a responsible authorised contact must be established before SokoAI represents it as an active host.
The actual department, role, location, duration, capacity and availability must be confirmed—not simply the existence of the organisation.
Eligibility, education, qualifications, experience, age and documentation requirements are assessed against the proposed placement.
What the participant may do, may not do and where supervision is required must be understood before participation.
Placements involving children, patients or vulnerable people require appropriate screening, conduct standards, supervision and reporting arrangements.
Regulated placements require appropriate qualifications, host approval, supervision, professional boundaries and applicable regulatory requirements.
Material risks associated with the activity, host environment and destination must be considered and appropriate controls identified.
Accommodation and arrival responsibilities must be clearly defined. Where SokoAI supplies or recommends accommodation, it requires separate verification.
Host charges, SokoAI charges and relevant third-party costs must be distinguishable, with inclusions and exclusions communicated before payment.
Only information reasonably required for assessment and placement should be collected, with appropriate handling of applicant documents.
Participants must know how to raise concerns, who the responsible contacts are and how a serious issue can be escalated or the placement paused.
Verification is time-bound. Active opportunities require a last-verified date, responsible review and re-verification when material conditions change.
Placement-specific evidence
Our long-term standard is that an active opportunity should show users what has been checked instead of relying on a generic green badge.
Verified should answer three questions:
What was checked?
When was it checked?
What still depends on host, applicant or external approval?
Example trust record
The exact record will vary according to the placement.
Clinical & professional safety
Medicine, nursing and other regulated placements require additional controls. Participant experience can never take priority over patients, professional responsibility or appropriate supervision.
Students remain students and participate only within an appropriate learning scope.
Qualified professionals remain limited to activities for which they are qualified, authorised and appropriately supervised.
Host resource shortages do not automatically expand a participant's professional scope.
Patient dignity, privacy and appropriate care take priority over the participant experience.
Clinical access or procedures are never promised simply because a participant has paid.
SokoAI will not advertise clinical activities that have not been authorised by the responsible host.
Safeguarding
Placements involving children, patients, vulnerable adults or sensitive communities require greater care. The applicable placement checks may include background screening, references, conduct requirements, defined activities, appropriate supervision and clear reporting routes.
Financial trust
SokoAI does not require an application fee simply to assess whether an appropriate placement may be available. Suitable capacity is confirmed and the proposed arrangement is presented before placement-processing payment begins.
Submit your placement request without an application fee.
Suitability, documentation and requirements are reviewed.
Suitable host opportunities and genuine capacity are assessed.
A suitable host, period and placement capacity are confirmed.
Review the placement scope, inclusions, exclusions and costs.
Payment is requested only after you choose to proceed.
Where applicable, confirmed placement costs should distinguish the organisation receiving the money and the purpose of each material charge.
Core principle
Apply first. Confirm availability. Review the offer. Pay when you choose to proceed.
Specialist hospital, university, licensing, regulatory or other third-party charges may apply to some placements. Material known charges should be disclosed before payment.

Host verification does not automatically verify accommodation, transport or every third-party service around a placement. Those responsibilities must be identified separately.
Where SokoAI provides or recommends accommodation, that accommodation should have its own verification status rather than borrowing the host's trust status.

Shared responsibility
Verification currency
A host can change supervisor. Capacity can disappear. Accommodation can change. Programme activities can evolve. Verification therefore cannot be permanent.
An active placement is only as trustworthy as its most recent relevant verification.
Hard-stop conditions
A placement should not be classified Verified & Available while a mandatory safety, authenticity, safeguarding or professional control remains materially unresolved.
When something goes wrong
Safety concerns, safeguarding reports, serious accommodation problems, harassment, host disputes or material placement failures should be capable of triggering review, escalation and, where appropriate, precautionary suspension of new placements.
Record the issue and identify immediate safety needs.
Engage the responsible host or relevant support route.
A serious unresolved concern can suspend new placements.
Our promises—and our limits
